Internationaler Tag der Umwelt

Heute, am 05. Juni 2017, feierten die Mitarbeiter und Gäste des Sitaram Beach Retreats den Internationalen Weltumwelttag. Gemeinsam pflanzten sie jeder einen kleinen jungen Baum im Garten des Sitaram Beach Retreats und setzten somit ein Zeichen zum Schutz der Umwelt.

Folgendes Versprechen gegenüber der Natur begleitete die gemeinsame Aktion und gibt einen Leitfaden für die Zukunft:

Environment Day Pledge – 2017

• Recognizing that the variety of life on earth underpins the very survival of me, my family and my fellow citizens around the world,
• Realizing the need to behave responsibly to protect our biological diversity,
• Responding to the increasing loss of our plants, animals and other life forms on this planet and
• Accepting my responsibility to promote better management and use of the biological diversity around me.

On this Environment Day, I pledge…

• I will do my part to protect the Earth
• I will take care of and clean up the environment
• I will be kind to and respect all life forms
• I will never litter
• I will always recycle
• I will reduce the waste I create
• I will reuse what I can
• I will conserve energy & water
• I will encourage others to conserve our natural resources
• I will ensure the life on earth is safe and secure and thereby
• I will be the change I want to see.
